Even though the iPhone was officially launched in Malaysia only a couple of weeks ago, iPhone accessories, especially cases, have been available for more than a year now. The SpectralShield and ClipShield are two new cases recently introduced for the iPhone 3G by NexxOne, a local company.

The SpectralShield is made of polycarbonate and has a nice rubberised feel to it. The inside is covered with a velvety material to ensure your iPhone remains scratch-free. The package also includes a little micro fibre cleaning cloth and a screen protector.

The SpectralShield is made of two sections. To fasten it to your iPhone you simple unhinge the two parts and slide each section in over the back of your iPhone, one from the top, the other through the bottom. Then you clip them back together. Very quick and easy.

The iPhone fits snugly in the case. Cut-outs within the case for all the access points and buttons are perfectly positioned. The case feels tough and durable and it's rubberised surface ensures it doesn't slip from your hand.

The screen protector is a nice addition and guards your iPhone screen against scratches and fingerprint smudges.

The ClipShield is very similar to the SpectralShield except it is a one piece clip-on case and has a shiny metallic-like surface. It retails for RM10 less.

The SpectralShield comes in 4 top colours with black bottoms: maroon, olive green, dark blue and black. The ClipShield comes in black, white and silver.

Both the SpectralShield and ClipShield are truly well-made products of international standards. They both do a wonderful job of protecting your precious iPhone. And we can be proud that these high quality cases are produced by a Malaysian company.
