Moshi Releases Zefyr
(Hi-efficiency MacBook & MacBook Air Cooling Pad)

Moshi, purveyor of electronics fashion, is announcing its release of the Zefyr 13”, the world’s slimmest active MacBook cooler. The Zefyr is designed to strike a delicate balance between form and functionality. It is extremely compact and yet efficient in keeping the MacBook cool under demanding conditions.

At the core of Zefyr’s design is a high-thermal conduction interface compound, which enhances heat dissipation by providing a direct heat conduction path between MacBook's bottom casing and Zefyr's cast aluminum heat sink assembly. The thermal interface compound is soft and compressive to ensure complete contact with the MacBook while preventing abrasive scratches. Heat accumulated in the heat sink is then expelled through the sides by a high-efficiency USB-powered fan that runs near silent.

Zefyr enables the MacBook to operate at peak performance level by keeping all critical components cool and stable. It also reduces excessive noise by lessening the load of MacBook’s internal fan. Measurements have shown that MacBook’s with Zefyr operate at an average of 10°F lower while running demanding applications such as HD video playback.

Zefyr’s ultra-low profile does not require the use of additional power adaptors and fits perfectly underneath the MacBook, providing users a clean unobstructed working space and a slight angled tilt for better ergonomics.

Zefyr 13” also works with the new MacBook Air.
